Slideshow of our trip | 400 pair of shoes in 2008!!!!!! We would like to thank all that help us reaching our goal of 400 pairs of new shoes to the children in Swaziland. We spent many hours shopping for shoes, washing feet, fitting them on the children. It sounds easy enough till we realized that many of the children never had shoes before. They had no idea on their shoe size, and they had all kinds of problems with their feet. We had a great time interacting with the children, and it was wonderful to be able to bring change in their lives. For most of these children it was their first pair of shoes, and it improved their lifestyle. We consider the 2008 shoe drive for Swazi children a big success, and will continue to raise money and collect shoes for the children. In addition to the many people who contributed for the shoes, we would like to thank, Dianne Tholl, Stephanie Key, Margene Creamer, and Tom Brown for their outstanding participation. Thank you, very much!!!! |
